Tommy graduated in 1994 and is a certificate holder in small animal surgery. After a year of university internship he went into small animal private practice, starting his own first opinion practice in Israel in 1997. He relocated to the UK with his family in 2005, where he was head vet and practice principal for 16 years at an independent veterinary group in south-east London. He developed an internal surgical and endo-surgery referral service with eventually receiving referred cases from other practices as well, mainly orthopaedics but soft tissue as well. His professional interest is orthopaedic surgery and orthopaedic innovations, having invented and developed the Ridgestop system. He was also involved as an instructor in courses on patella luxations, including at Improve International CPD venues. Having been intimately involved in first opinion practice for many years, Tommy is in a unique position to understand their needs and the intricacies of client care and excellent communication, which are so critical in client and referring practice satisfaction.

Andre graduated in 2011 in his native Portugal, after which he completed a 6 months internship there. After 2 years in general practice he moved to the UK determined to pursue specialization in surgery, spending serious time at well renowned referral centres (the RVC, Liverpool University, Dick White Referrals, to name few). After some years in general practice in the UK, Andre became a certificate holder in advanced veterinary practice in small animal Surgery and gained the Advanced Practitioner in Small Animal Surgery status. At this time he was appointed referral surgeon and Head of Surgery at a highly regarded veterinary group in London, which he left 5 years ago and has been acting as a peripatetic surgeon providing surgical services for more than 40 primary care practices in and around London. Surgery is a burning passion for Andre, having invested and continuing to invest heavily in training both in the UK and abroad, keeping up to date with leading edge research and the most advanced techniques. This high level of commitment to excellence has led Andre to join the SAS - Small Animal Surgery in-house Referrals team, where both Tommy and Andre share the same passion, vision and ethos.
